So after months of almost pulling the trigger, I finally went ahead and bought a new 13 inch MacBook to replace my 15 inch PowerBook. I went back and forth between going to the MacBook Pro or just the MacBook, but in the end the footprint of the machine itself it just right for carrying around and working on the train with. There is still an open question about the glossy screen, hopefully I can get used to that.
Now I can finally get rid of my old Windows machine in my guest bedroom which is only ever used to test on IE — thank goodness for Parallels!
